Why a tasting menu?
I have been preparing meals for friends and family for decades, and I have a passion for food and dining that definitely comes from my mom, and a previous life in restaurant ownership. Creating memories around the dinner table is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening--it's why I host an ongoing weekly meal with friends. To experience course after course of delicious food while someone describes how a wine can complement the food you are eating makes for an unforgettable night!
A custom Crowded Table tasting menu is an experience you'll want to share. We begin by sitting down together to design a menu that will impress both you and your guests, from start to finish. How hungry will you be? Five, six, or seven courses? Is there a particular food you want to highlight? Do you have wine preferences? We discuss your wishes at our initial consultation, and I then design a menu for you and your guests in the days that follow. We discuss the menu and accompanying wines until you are completely satisfied.
To make your evening completely stress-free, I bring all of the food, the tablescape, the dishes, the flowers, the linens, and the menus. I prepare your meal in your kitchen, at a pace we will have discussed. I'll leave your kitchen clean, and take it all away at the end of the night. Whether you have an intimate gathering with 4, or a larger party of up to 12, I will make sure your evening is spectacular!
